CH: Day 156

Today, Heroic Eric installed the hot water vent into the old chimney void, and through the roof (I forgot to take  picture of the latter!).

Vent installed, hole in soffit infilled (I will paint it white), and trim installed (I will paint it wine like adjacent trim). Soon (tomorrow?) the wall will be fixed, and roof shingles replaced.

Yesterday.

Today! Priming! OMG, I am soooooooo excited to almost be at the end!!!!!!!!

An irritant for many months was this messed up bit-o-trim.

Today I fixed it.

It is exciting to have all of these projects near completion. It won’t be long now and you’ll be on your way to projects on the Cross House. And moving in soon, hopefully.

Oh, wow. Just little things but they make such a big difference. And that is such a logical place to run the vent pipe.

Soon, soon it will be done enough to get signed off.

You have come a long way this year.

In a way the violation notice was a blessing in disguise as it forced you to do some of what you had already planned to do and gave you the opportunity to do more of what you had planned to do.

And a bravo to Eric! I appreciate all you’re doing to help Ross and the Carriage House.
