CH: Day 162

Got the last bit of vinyl siding on, just above the small window. Note the now bleached and painted white soffit above. Note the white soffit above the door. Now also painted and bleached. Tomorrow I will touch up the dark gray horizontal trim above the window.

No more hole in roof, hole in soffit, and hole in wall! See the scraggy black wires on the east wall? They will soon be gone. I hate this kind of clutter.

Didn’t you say that kitchen porch was going to be replaced and bigger and a different shape? I agree about the railing. You can figure something else out when the porch is re-porched. Not sure about Kansas but here a porch and stair railing is required by law.
I agree about the wires. I hate that sort of stuff. Some of mine was eliminated when I had solar put in (wires went to new meter box on garage instead of meter box on the house) but I still had wires from garage to the house. They were higher up and in conduit and a roof on my pergola pretty much disguises them. I still have one more wire to relocate but that is so far in the future because it requires an electrician and likely crawling through the attic it may never happen. Also a phone line to deal with as I do still have a landline.
New porch light is excellent and also centered over the door. Huzzah!
May I assume this is all of the city work done and you can now commence with Ross work?
Happiest of New Year’s to you!
Looks great!!
Wow! Looking better with each post. In totality, so much was done! Wheeeeee
So crispy! And it will be even better when the wires are sorted.
