CH: Day 30
Yesterday. Do ya’ like my temporary downspout?
Today. Tomorrow I will paint the top horizontal trim green, and the vertical corner trim (left). This will ‘frame’ the new work. I also need to install the little crown trim under the window drip cap. With this done I can remove the scaffolding and then paint the lower portion of the siding.

That’s what I call progress. One done, until there is a porch and roof.
I took a few baby steps™ myself today. I mixed up some cement and put the concrete cap back on the brick railing outside my kitchen door. Also go the ladder and put the screen back over the bedroom window. And removed some cardboard to the blue recycling bin. Last thing I’m doing tonight is to put some bags in the alley bin and check to see if those solar lights I installed on the alley fence posts are working. For me, that is quite a bit accomplished. Still lots to do but a few baby steps each day.
Very excited to see the rest of the paint and have the city sign off.
I like the temporary downspout. Must protect all of the work.
It’s starting to look so good. I am now a fan of the baby steps method.
