CH: Day 5
Sigh.
Today I had to remove half the siding I installed. Why? Because it was not level. After much vexation I realized that my level was broken. How long have I been working with a broken level?
Sigh.
After much ado I was able to re-install the siding. I think it is level. It looks level. So, whew.
I also assembled scaffolding so I can reach the next section.
I also fussed with the small library door.
I also fussed with the small window for the above wall.
Tomorrow I will have some exciting news about the carriage house. Ross happy.

I feel you. I needed to use a level recently and all of mine were….less than useable. Likely because it has been over 20 years since I have needed to use one. My new one is a Stanley.
I’m picking up a set of socket wrenches tomorrow. I never had a complete set and no metric and tomorrow I am repairing the carriage on my garage door opener. It’s only been broken for about 3 years. Maybe 4. So about time.
At least I don’t have the city breathing down my neck. Yet. But if I don’t do something about the grass in the easement and the weeds in my driveway it won’t be long before I get a 30 day notice.
Won’t be long before these baby steps are going to morph into racing strides.
Baby steps Ross!
You are getting there!
Can’t wait to hear the Carriage House news for today!
Looking forward to the good news, and it’s looking good!
Thank you Ross for the public service notice that levels can malfunction! I had no idea until today.
