CH: Day 7
In addition, I have the paint purchased, the small window (to be re-installed) ready for primer, and the sash ready to be picked up at the glass company with new glass (replacing…oh, the horror…Plexiglass).
Not bad for an old man.
Not bad.

Just have to say what a pleasure it is to have you regularly writing posts again. Thank you!
Thank you, Mona!
Oh, BOY! I can’t wait to see the window installed.
No, not bad. Not bad at all. Your baby steps are making my feet itch. I’ve got some windows in the garage I thought I might use for cold frames. I know one is broken. After I get my furniture from my parent’s house into my garage tomorrow, I think I might just take out the old glass and put in new and then scrounge some hinges. I’ll have them ready for next year. I even found a can of paint today.
I’m sure you’ll have the entire Carriage House painted before I’m ready to paint one sash. Somehow your baby steps are bigger or you step more or faster or something. I think I’m only three years older than you but sometimes I get tired just reading this blog.
Old? Hardly. More like experienced.
Keep plugging along, neighbor. 36 days until we’re back!
Brad
SQUEE!!!!!!!!
Nice progress!
I’ve been reading this blog daily for nearly 9 years now. I live vicariously in your journey through your posts.
I remember our lightning tour way back when, Anthony!
Admire your motivation!
This is so fricking awesome!
You are amazing!
Great job, the more you get done, the more motivated you will feel. And before you know it, you will have enough done to satisfy City Hall. That will take some pressure off.
Happy you are able to work after the days of feeling poorly. Just came through an upper respiratory infection and was in a foul mood looking at all that needs to be done and this old lady was unable. Now much of my strength- mental strength is back and I can engage in what makes me happy once again.
The added worry of our aging out of this work doesn’t help but as long as we can keep a vision, be well, and hope, we will be fine!
Thank you, Susan.
I purchased the Cross properties in 2014 when I was 57. I felt very old at the time. Today, I think: 57? So vital! So youthful!
My diminished capacity since has been a shock. At my current age (and energy) I would sooooooo not make such a purchase.
BIG hug!
