Colorful Beauties!

During the 1930s, colorful bathrooms became popular, and this blue fixture would have been created for such a market. The fixture could also be used in a small bedroom, foyer, or kitchen.

I have a pink one, too! Both fixtures were made in Japan!

I have some china tea pieces from my Grandmother that are from Japan. They are that same cream with the lovely blue and iridescent. Lusterware. I love them.

I have no idea what the original bathroom of my house looked like or how or where it was laid out. It was either remodeled where it is now or relocated during the 1949 renovations. The current one is now very 50s along with the kitchen. There is no ceiling fixture. It was just a single wall one over the bathroom mirror and not even an original 50s but some 70s POS. It’s now a vintage fixture but probably neither 20s nor 50s but I like it. It’s ceramic with a clambroth shade.

If either of these shades at been in my house I would have kept them and decorated around them using their colors.

Hello Japanese products! Few vintage lights survived in Japan due to frequent earthquakes and World War II. Glad to see these.
