Colorful Returns

The Round Bedroom has four stained-glass windows. The one in the center of the tower was done in 2014.

The other three were restored this past February, but their sashes needed restoring and glazing.

Today, the two to each side were re-installed! The arched one was installed last month.

Pretty! Note at the top center the cracked glass. This is at my request. The glass is glued back together and I would MUCH rather this than have new glass installed.

Outside. Today, the Round Bedroom is lighted from inside for the first time. So, one more room lighted up at night for people going by.

Hi Ross. First I want to thank you for posting more often. So many of us feel a strong connection to you and your house and at this point in history it feels like a lifeline is offered when I go to your blog and see a new posting. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Secondly, do you know why there is no window below the center gorgeous stained glass window in the tower? Why is there a wall there?

      Thank you, Pamela!

Also, the wall is there because that is where a dressing table sat.

I’m going to second this. Seeing a new Ross post is like a candle being lit in the dark. Not to be dramatic or anything 😉

That last picture in this post is just oh-so-awesome looking (even with a small glimpse of the scaffolding)! You’ve got to be so proud of yourself and your accomplishments. And me, I just want to ride by at night.

I am so happy there are more windows to light up at night!

To drive by the Cross house lit at night is breathtaking!

I will never forget my first trip to see Cross House at night & it was lighted and looked like glittering jewels in each window. Mesmerizing!
