Dicovery #8!

In 1929, the closet to the Octagon Bedroom was converted into a bathroom. As was the closet and dressing area of the Round Bedroom.

When I purchased the house, each room had a floor of cheap 12×12 tiles. These covered what looked like linoleum. This, I assumed, was from the 1929 conversion.

I was wrong.

You are standing in the Round Bedroom looking into the original dressing area.

The 1929 oak flooring you are standing on continues straight into the former dressing area. The black stuff is glue that held the later linoleum.

Gadzooks!

So, when The Other Justin sands down all the second-floor oak, I will add this small room to the list!

Just 2 layers (12×12 tiles and glue) required to remove! Wheeee!

Question: Is this room still a bathroom? I can’t remember.

Yes, Barb. Although not working. I will use it for storage.

Just a quick question. You began by talking about the Round and Octagon bedrooms, but then the
caption for the picture is talking about the Sewing room. So there is a small dressing room in the
    Sewing room too?

      Oops! Fixed that! Thanks, Kerri!
