Republicans HARM
I keep saying this, and offer supporting documentation.
When the Supreme Court kicked Roe to the curb my first thought was: Ending Roe has been the #1 vote getter for the GOP most of my lifetime. With it now gone how will the GOP get people into voting booths?
I knew they would have to find another thing to scare Republicans with. And this is just what they did: they have declared war on the LGBTQ community. As a gay man this furiously pisses me off.
In particular, the GOP has decided that drag queens and trans people are an existential threat to the American people and to kids. This though is a ‘crisis’ which does not exist. It is all faux outrage.
Republicans HARM
But, what is the actual biggest threat to kids? Guns. Which is 100% supported by the GOP. More kids die from guns than any other cause.
And, almost daily, a church leader is arrested for sexually abusing kids. And the GOP does zero about this endless actual horror.
Because faux outrage is so much easier to accomplish
Republican voters are easily scared. And the GOP knows this. Which is why they do not need any policies or good ideas to attract voters. They just need fear.
EBOLA!
ISIS!
THEY WILL TAKE YOUR GUNS!
ANTIFA!
BLACK LIVES MATTER!
BROWN PEOPLE ARE COMING ACROSS THE BORDER TO RAPE YOUR DAUGHTER!
And now:
DRAG QUEENS!
TRANSPEOPLE!
I know Republicans who have not spent a second being afraid of transpeople. Until all of a sudden. Now they post about their deep fears and concerns about trans people on Facebook.
And they do not even see how their own party is playing them.

Democrats HELP. They are active in helping all 400 of those people.
Republicans HARM. They are doing NOTHING to help those 400 people. And they are gleeful in destroying 2 of them.
If you vote for the GOP, why are you helping to harm me? And so many millions of other Americans?

Yes. You are right on all counts.
Thank you, Karen. The facts 100% support my observations. In writing about the GOP for years now I’ve yet to have a reader respond with anything factual refuting my observations. I do though get called names!
If you look at what the GOP is doing on a national and state level, there are ZERO policies or programs to help you and me. ZERO.
Like in Florida. Where the GOP has decided that Disney is a huge problem. And drag queens. And saying gay. FFS. FFS. FFS.

When I began writing such posts I didn’t realize how simple it was. How stark. How overwhelmingly supported by evidence and facts.
HELP.
HARM.
It’s that simple. And every voter has a choice.
I choose HELP.
Well, actually gleeful at destroying 261 and they’re working on the rest.
So true! It’s scary as everyday there is something new. And these “self proclaimed Christian’s “ are so biased and hateful it’d be funny if it wasn’t so tragic. I’ve discovered some of them are my friends and relatives 😿
The hypocrisy and blatant wilful ignorance coming from the so-called Christian right is satanically obscene in its scope. All of this unnecessary arguing could be solved if Right-Wing Christians asked themselves this everytime a political decision or opinion needed to be expressed;
