Thank you for that. I needed to cry some hopeful tears today.

I spoke with several friends today. Everyone is simply devastated. Sotomayor’s words were a huge blow. Now, the peril to our democracy feels real rather than merely a suspicion. All the messages of hope possible are needed and lots of action!

I hear you Ross. I have been feeling down and reading your posts since Thursday. We have to do something… as Bill Maher said, we will vote for Biden’s head in blue liquid in a bottle… but it would be better if we didn’t have to. As the NYT said today, we have one of the most robust lineups of young, experienced Democrats on the bench that we have ever had. All I can the of is RBG. Smart people, making mistakes. I hope Joe will do the right thing, whatever that is… I do think passing the torch may be needed…

The debate is moot. The Supreme Court has made it inconsequential except for the fact that it exposed the character and temperament of the two candidates. With only those two parameters, Trump loses big time and Biden wins. His speech today was he nail in the coffin. That is the new talking point and will be such until November.

Can you trust Donmentia VonShitzenpants with the power of a King with unchecked immunity? The answer is no. If he wins he will have his people start to arrest and hold sham trials for all of his political opponents. Hillary Clinton, Michael Cohen, Mike Pence. He will try, convict and imprison or even execute everyone that has ever crossed him. That means whoever is the opponent, vote for them just to make sure Trump doesn’t win.

Do you know what Biden’s response to the SCOTUS decision reminded me of? Michael Douglas in Aaron Sorkin’s The American President. The difference is the opponent isn’t a Richard Dreyfuss. It is Martin Sheen in The Dead Zone.
