Inchin’ Along.

I am currently focused on finishing the SE corner of the Turret Bathroom. You have never seen this view. To the right is a closet. To its left was the 1921 entrance into the room. It will now be a closet. Then, to its left is a new opening. This looks into the new Master Suite Foyer and will have a door.

You have seen this. This is the Conversion wallpaper. It is a pale lilac with silver vertical stripes.

Yesterday though I found this. Huh?  Green vines and flowers. It is obviously original to the conversion but the room surely did not have two wallpapers, right?

The riddle was soon solved. Between the vertical silver stripes were green vines and flowers. Sweet.

And, again, the ceiling border.

It is always fascinating to see how a home once was.
Thank you for the time travel Ross! Are you going to try to replace it with new old stock or are you going to “Ross it up!” 😘
    Merry Christmas Ross!
    We love you!

I love that original wallpaper. It looks almost hand painted. And the flowers between the vertical stripes make much more sense with the top border.

I wonder if those are silver stripes or white? Wouldn’t silver tarnish to black over the decades? Or did they have some other paint that would look silver but not tarnish. Aluminum?

A wallpaper with a metallic stripe would be awesome in that room, reflecting the light from the three windows.

Merry Christmas and may the new year bring you everything you are hoping for.

Hey everybody–it’s Christmas, and Ross is “inchin’ along” toward a major milestone on his GoFundMe account. Let’s all click on that big green button above and see if we can cobble together $380 to reach his next fundraising goal!

Gosh, I missed this post until today! I’m finally catching up. I LOVE that wallpaper! And that’s saying something, because I generally loathe it. Lavender and silver are two of my favorite colors together, and the flower “stripe” and border are sweet. I’d absolutely use that paper in my house.

Oops. I don’t know how I managed to reply to Brian’s comment. What I meant to say is: I second that! I’d love to see Ross get to his goal.
