Inchin’ Along

BEFORE. The SE corner. Turret bathroom.

TODAY. The three doors are framed and trimmed in. And the dropped ceiling is also in. This creates a sense of a foyer. The dropped ceiling will also be in the shower, just topping the ‘marble’ tiles. The two openings to the right are for closets, the middle opening is the entry to the bathroom from the newly created master suite foyer.

The small amount of work shown between images #1 and #2 represent about two weeks of Baby Step work. If I had Justin doing the work, this all would have taken half a day. And this, this, is the new Slow-Motion Ross manifested, as I detailed in my year end post.

What matters though, is the progress, dahlink.

As I work, I sing a little ditty: “as long as I keep plugging along…plugging along…plugging along”

I admire you. Irrespective of age this kind of work is not easy to do alone because you always have to climb up and down the ladder, fix pieces in place with clamps to adjust them and then adjust them again so you can fix them with screws, etc. If there are two persons one stands on the ladder the other one hands them the tools or holds a piece of wood in place while the other one fixes the screws.

Well done, you! Baby Steps (TM) for the win.

Time for me to take some baby steps toward finishing the laundry . . . .

I am inching along with you, you on your bathroom and me with my fence.

I don’t understand why you’re dropping the ceiling but I’m sure there is a reason.

I applaud you keeping the tub. Too many people don’t appreciate a tub until they get older and need a good soak for sore muscles and old bones. Those tearing out those bathtubs for big showers while they are in their 30s and 40s are going to want to put back a big, deep soaking bathtub when they qualify for Medicare and Social Security.

My gate is hung and working and I’m starting on the boards for the section of fence next to it.

    Baby Steps™ rule.

It may be a small amount of work, but visually it makes a huge difference!
