I have posted about having to replace the rotted base of one of the two north porch columns.
It now seems that water was getting in through a section of downspout hidden inside the huge curved cornice. I will be ordering a new “infill” spout this week.
And now, ta-da!!!! Crispy again!
Ross, wunderbar!
Remarkable Ross! Looks so exquisitely crispy!
Always nice to complete a job whether big or small and this looks especially crispy. Porch floor doesn’t look very crispy. Do you have any timeline for work on the Cross house? I think we are all anxious to see it completed and you living there .
I just love it when everything is crispy!
It’s perfect, mark another job off the list.
Thank you for your continuing inspiration Ross! I am rehabbing a 50 year old Tudor dollhouse that was not painted properly, actually not painted at all on the inside, has glue on the windows, some physical damage. It’s big. I tore out a bunch of windows and I am in the process of rebuilding them. Tomorrow I am going to attempt wallpaper. It’s very hard to make “crispy,” because all the interior work was supposed to be completed before it was built… I am working with 000 brushes. But I am channeling you and trying to get as crispy as possible. Sometimes I have to tell myself a story that this is an old house and has had some bad paint jobs over the years. If I had Alice’s “one pill makes you smaller” I could get in there lol. Thank you for your continuing inspiration. I think of you all the time. Giant hugs from the miniature world.
