Inching Along

In February, the reshingling of the SE corner began. At this stage completing the work seems overwhelming. Will it ever be finished?

Then, the reshingling of the outside corner began. At this stage completing the work seems overwhelming. Will it ever be finished?

And now, the reshingling of the south wall begins. With amnesia of any previous work afflicting my brain, completing the work seems overwhelming. Will it ever be finished?

Yes! It will be finished before you know it because it is Ross who is doing it.
Keep on swimming…Keep on swimming…Keep your eye on the prize, my good man!
I think I can, I think I can! Before you know it you will be moving on.
Looks tremendous!
By some miracle, it will get finished. And sooner than you think, at least that’s what I’m hoping.
Absolutely! You have many cheerleaders on your team.
I echo what everyone else has said…..
By some miracle and by the Ross baby step method…….
…..the work will be completed!!!
Yay Ross!
My northern Ohio brain is reeling at the fact you’re working outdoors in December…
It was almost 60 yesterday, Susan!
Well, it was -39 celcius where I live today!
You are an inspiration to keep on keeping on. I love how you just focus and get it done. You are a wonder!
Ross, if I were rich, I would hire you enough able-bodied helpers to quickly finish your house; I’m not, so I can’t…but I can and do greatly admire your dedication to doing it right. So many (most) people would get frustrated and impatient, and would cut corners or simply eliminate certain original features all in the name of “gettin’ it done’. When it comes to old houses, you are THE MAN.
Amen! I concur! Ditto! All of what Mike said. I check the weather every day in Emporia because I cannot wait for this south side to be done so you can get off that scaffolding! You need your own show on PBS or HGTV (please! Something worthwhile besides Property Brothers or Love It or List It)….AFTER the south side gets done. Of course.
The trouble with this sort of project is that you are only focused on what’s before you—it’s hard to see all the distance you have come. But you HAVE come a long way, and it WILL be done. You can look at your own photos to remind yourself.
And look! there’s the edge of the front porch!
