Inching Along

Work has moved over to the left. Note the one window frame. Its weathering has been disk-sanded away!

And a new — drum roll, please — computer-crimped metal cap has been installed! Few things get me more excited than the perfection of computer-crimped flashing! (The scratches are to the plastic protective coating. This will get peeled off when the painting is done.)

Nice work! What is the cool brick building with the g ten tile roof in the first photo, and what’s the tall brick building beyond it?
The building with the green roof I believe was originally a car dealership. Now houses a design company. The tall brick building in the far background is called Broadview Towers, originally a hotel and now apartments in the upper stories with businesses in the bottom floor.
nice drip cap, big fella.
Maybe its the camera angle, but the original wood drip cap to the left looks like it was installed upside down. The angled side should be on top, sloping away from the house. How in the world did you track someone down who would do piece work on a CNC sheet metal bender?! Two thumbs up!
