Inching Along

With the east window area now done, work has moved to the west window. The upper window trim has been removed for repair, and so a computer-crimped drip cap can be made.

Remember the missing swirl? I found two parts of it but the upper part was missing. But I found it! Two of its points were missing but I recreated these out of caulk. With some sanding and carving they will look fine.

The folks who carefully squirreled away all those bits over the years would be so tickled that they are now back where they belong!
Remarkable that you found those obscure bits & pieces! Astonishing that they are still findable! Also Bob Rodak sometimes finds things too & maybe a missing piece thought lost will be among his things ???
It is so weird that pieces keep turning up. It is like the house makes pieces while you sleep, Ross! Or maybe its those aliens you keep talking about?
I wonder just how much extra space you’ll have in the basement, once you’ve put all the little bits and pieces back where they belong.
Hey a shout to Bob Rodak. Amazing he placed close attention to keeping all the small little bits for that some day the pieces will be placed in their original spot.
Looks great! What kind of caulk is used? It’s moldable and carve-able?
