Inching Along. And Turning a Corner!

When I finished the never-ending SE inside corner, the scaffolding didn’t reach the last several feet of the east wall. Finishing this was delayed by the restoration/recreation of the last eight porch columns. But today…

…all the shingling is done!

The lower section was completed a few weeks ago.

And then painted!

While the upper section shingling was completed today!

I’m constantly impressed by the amount of quality work you’re able to get done. And you’ve just had surgery! You’re a force of nature.

Are you hosting friends Thanksgiving again this year on black Friday?

WOW, progress is moving quickly now! Looks fantastic, as always. Above all that, which I think is gray, does that only have to be painted?

      Oh, Dan Dan Dan!

You asked: “Above all that, which I think is gray, does that only have to be painted?”

That gray is the huge metal cornice. And how I wish it only needed painting! How I wish!

What needs to be done with the huge metal cornice?

Ooh, the shingles are looking so crispy! I’ll be in Emporia this week, and I’m going to drive by to check it out in person. It’s always so fun to see how it looks from street/yard level

Crikey! How low are those openings from the porch. Make sure you stay off there after a glass or two of wine!

    • Dawn Rocco on November 4, 2019 at 2:53 pm

Gosh, it almost looks like it is level with the openings, Yikes!
