It May Not Seem Like Much…

…but I am ridiculously excited by this bit of new construction in the basement.

In 2014, I built a “monster” wall on the east side of basement to keep the house from collapsing.

Then, during the ensuing years, there has been essentially zero work on the basement.

But today, this narrow wall (it will soon be wider) was installed to we can attach four light switches and one plug to it. This will allow the electrical work to continue.

When the electrical work is finished in a few weeks, ALL the wiring in the house (save the third floor) will post-date my purchase. And ALL this wiring will be installed neatly and carefully. People will OCD will soon be able to tour the basement…and swoon.

Now that sounds like an invitation for a tour.
My version of OCD is more serious. It is CDO, it’s even in alphabetical order.

It’s reassuring to see that you get so many Big things done and still can sweat the small stuff.

It’s the small things in life that make us happy! 🙂

    Hi Ross!
This summer, I may be coming to MO. Now, being a New Yorker who has barely gone past VA, CA and the fashion capitals of Europe, I was hoping Emporia was not too far from St Louis. But it seems like its a 5 hour drive.

I will likely have by almost 14 year old, 7 pound dog with me. He prefers cats to dogs…

I was hoping we might be able to make it Cross House for a tour and to meet you. Maybe!

    Here’s hoping!
