Kenny Scores!
The other morning my phone woke me.
I had a text message.
It was from Kenny. There was an attached image.
He found something.
Something friggin’ GORGEOUS.
Did I want it? For $75?
My lust was both great and immediate.
Scroll way down…
I love love love the chair! It is soooooooo animated!
While I like the fabric (it has a circa-1950 look) I do not like it on the chair. The seat, while comfortable, is modern foam. It should have springs. The back is rather flat and had, I assume, more oomph to it originally. So, obviously it will need to be reupholstered at some point.
Importantly, it looks 1890s to me. Perhaps Bo will weigh in on that?
Where to put the chair? I was thinking in the Sewing Room?
Thanks again, Kenny! Thanks, Jet!
Squee!!!!!!!!

Very possible. Interesting hybrid of influences. I’ll be keen to know if anyone has more definitive evidence than simple informed intuition! Quirky and charming and unusual and hard to categorize… Just like a certain home and homeowner I know. This a perfect match if for no other reason. 😁
Fascinating since this will be a quirky and fun match for this eclectic homeowner!
Love it! (Love Jet, too.)
Wow – that is a Dr Seuss chair! My favorite design element, the squiggly wiggly under arm support, is both charming & hilarious. 💜
Whatever era(s) it may have originated from, it has a certain “redheaded-stepchild” feel to it … definitely up to something creative. 😉
I love that chair! And it will look wonderful in your home. Can’t wait to see how you transform it.
Simply gorgeous. I love the fabric tho. But will look forward to what you decide to do. 🙂
Beautiful chair. I like the upholstery, but you’re right it looks kind of flat. Victorian chairs were always overstuffed. It will be fun looking for new fabric.
What an awesome chair! 👌 and how awesome are Kenny and Jet for finding it!
They are, LS!
Wow! Wow! Wow! I love this chair. I like the fabric. I know you are not crazy about it but I like it, and I love the little wheels. Kinda works with the peacock fabric and the fabulous wallpaper. Animated is a great description for this chair.
I like the doggie too.
Enjoy it Ross!
I love the chair as well. I agree that it needs to be reupholstered with more “Oomph”. Also interesting is that it appears to have the original porcelain wheels on the front legs, but none on the rear legs. Missing or intentional???? Anyway, it’s a steal and so glad Kenny found it for you.
Hurray Kenny and Jet!
