The “diamond brooch” on the north side of the Cross House. I had planned to back-light the newly restored windows so that people, going by at night, could enjoy their beauty.

 

I came up with an absurdly simple solution. Three clip-on work lights! Each with a 150W high-efficiency bulb, or 450W.

Just moments ago, my neighbor Brad texted me about how thrilled he was to see this surprise! Then Lesley and Eric wrote, saying the same. They also sent this image. Wow! Although I think I need to adjust the wattage down a bit! I have waited for this moment a long time now.

    Omg Ross! I remember when I first started reading this blog, about how they covered up those windows and the stairs and stuff. You seemed soo sad that they had done that. Like they stole something from her. But now this! This is so cool!:)

    I know the “in person” version would definitely top the photograph, but this is all we have and they are beyond beautiful. (Actually, it sorta’ looks like an angel in each window.) Good job, you’ve got to be really proud of this milestone!
