Mouses In The House!

Today, during the family-of-choice day AFTER Thanksgiving dinner, a classic car pulled up in front of the Cross House, and out jumped an exuberant group. A bunch of Mouses! In the center is Lindy. Her grandfather, Scout Mouse, Sr., purchased the house in 1929, and her father sold the house to the Toms family in 1960. With Lindy was the youngest generation of the family. “Can we come in for a quick look?” I replied: “Of course!” As they came down the grand stair I just happened to pass by and said: “Stop! This would be a great picture!”

Tomorrow I will do a post about today.

But for now enjoy Lindy and her band of merry young revelers.

This seems a great opportunity for all involved.

I am compelled to inquire: what make, model and year car were they in?

David, the car is a 1928 Model A Ford. It was purchased by my great aunt and given to my parents in 1947 as a wedding present. I drove this car to high school in the 60s. So fun and the grandkids LOVE it!!!!We always have to go for a drive and the day we were in the Cross House, we had run out of gas, but they all pushed us to the gas station 8 blocks away. Created some memories on that day!!!!

        Lindy!

I was so astonished to see such a fabulous car, and so astonished to see ALL these excited people come out of it, that I totally forgot to take a picture!

We’ll make a date next July to come back!!! You were so kind to let me bring the kids through. They need to know about their roots. Looks like you had a great party.
