Putting The Chimney To Bed
The north chimney, bedded down for the night with two thick layers of plastic, and a velvet heating blanket taped down with silver tape used for HVAC ducting (it is really sticky). All of this is to retain moisture so the new mortar dries properly, and to keep the mortar from freezing. A sane person would do such work in the spring.
