There are fewer things I adore more than good roof cresting, as shown on this incredible house.
The Cross House, tragically, did not appear to ever had roof cresting. but it did have wonderful finials. In addition to the two towers, there were five atop the two dormers, and three gables. There were two larger pineapple finials on the main roof.
This circa-1910 image is the only one I have showing the roof end finials. See how they all kinda leap up into the sky? I love that.
WF Norman makes something close to the smaller finials. I would only need the end piece on the left.
Of course, this begs the question?
Should I recreate these, too?
