It was a really great speech. I have to admit I teared up a bit listening to him.

Same here. Of course it didn’t take Trump long to put his 2 cents in (they arn’t even worth that). 🙂

    Well stated.

Unfortunately the entire collective group of Trump supporters seem to be willing to turn a blind eye to anything and everything that he does and believes in anything he says. “Patriots” who repeatedly condone unpatriotic actions and as time goes, become more and more belligerent. It is frightening to think that such a huge volume of people can be so easily manipulated to an almost cult like level of commitment. I have always wondered how Hitler and the Nazi party was able to take control over an entire Country and convince the population to follow such a terrible path. I now have the answer.

I’m so thankful we are in a regime of decency, kindness & democratic ideals.

Former VP Dick Cheney & his daughter Rep Liz Cheney were in the audience!

I am recently connecting with old friends and my relatives on facebook and am dismayed at their views. To each his own, but seriously?!? Courageous of our president to say what some of us have been thinking. 🙂

Agree! I am so grateful we are living in a time of decency again.

Bravo Mr President! Great, courageous speech!
