The Evil Party
This is a political post.
Please scroll down.
Just six weeks into 2022, more than 150 anti-LGBTQ bills have been introduced across the country.
And guess what?
ALL the bills have been introduced by the Republican party.
ALL.
And the Republican party is feverishly working to stop people from voting.
And it was Republican terrorists who stormed the US Capitol.
And it is Republicans who are working overtime to control the bodies of women.
For some time now I have been writing that the Republican party has devolved into evil. It is the new Nazi party.
The party does nothing to help the American people, save the very wealthiest.
Nothing.
The party had devolved into actively harming the American people.
The party had devolved into actively harming Democracy.
So, if you are a Republican, and if you are reading this, WHY are you still a Republican?

I hear you. I support you. And I’d like to know why, too.
Bravo Ross!!!
Well said!
“So, if you are a Republican, and if you are reading this, WHY are you still a Republican?”
And if you are a Democrat who believes that both parties are equally evil, then WHAT in the world is wrong with you?
I am a Democrat and always have been. And I mourn what the Republican party has turned into. It wasn’t like this in the 1950s.
Indeed.
I am a moderate. I have taken several political tests and I fall directly in the middle. I like Republican buisness stuff, but I am pretty Democrat otherwise.
Hello, Trace!
You wrote: “I like Republican business stuff…”
Can I ask what you mean?
For, did you know that, in my lifetime, Democrats have created WAY more jobs than Republicans?
Did you know that, in my lifetime, Democrats have managed the debt/deficit WAY better than Republicans?
Simply put, across the board, be it business, social, health, or environmental, Democrats do everything better than Republicans. I know this sounds too dramatic to be true, but it is. As I keep saying, Republicans have ZERO policies to help the American people (save giving huge tax breaks to vastly rich people), ZERO social policies (save denying equal rights to everybody), ZERO policies to create more jobs than Democrats, ZERO policies to reduce the debt/deficit (save taking away social programs which help people, all the while spending vastly more to make our already bloated military more bloated), and ZERO policies to help protect the environment.
To repeat, this is what the Republican party now is:
1) Giving tax breaks to vastly wealthy people.
2) Crushing minorities.
3) Controlling women.
4) Stopping people from voting.
5) Destroying democracy.
6) Transforming America into a theocracy and fascist state.
In short:
The Republican party has ZERO interest in helping improve the lives of 99.9% of Americans.
By contrast, the Democratic party has a long history of improving the lives of 99.9% of Americans, as I’ve pointed out on numerous occasions.
Eh It’s mostly I just noticed myself that things tended to be cheaper. I ain’t even out of high school so I still have time to form my political views. Never really heard about that stuff except from far right candidates that I wouldn’t vote for anyway. If I do vote it’s likely gonna be for someone who doesn’t belong in either political parties which gets us almost nowhere because of what is in my opinion a flawed system. Keep in mind that I am not too active politically. Whatever I hear I try to get from the most unbiased source as possible which is hard to find because there is no such thing as unbiased journalism. I don’t even read the political posts most time because it isn’t really what I am interested in. Just felt like weighing in on this one just because. I don’t like Biden or Trump I just find them both incompetent and creepy especially around kids.
“It has been said that democracy is the worst form of Government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time;
but there is the broad feeling in our country that the people should rule, and that public opinion expressed by all constitutional means, should shape, guide, and control the actions of Ministers who are their servants and not their masters.”
And that is the essence of the two parties. Republicans consider themselves masters and Democrats consider themselves servants of the voters.
What business stuff?
It was Republican bills and tax laws that shipped U.S. jobs overseas because their overlords reaped tax benefits from it. They buy a business in Canada and then claim they’re a foreign business and avoid paying their fair share of taxes. They stagnate the minimum wage for decades. They pollute the environment and kill anything that gets in the way of profits, be it plants, animals or clean air and water.
Trickle Down is the big lie.
The Republican business model is for the rich to get richer and to stand on the backs of more and more poor people. They are systematically eliminating the middle class and not in a good way.
Republicans are the rich, those that think they’re rich and those who think they might be rich some day. Anyone else is just gullible enough to believe all of the lies like horse dewormer and tracking chips in vaccines.
The Republican Party is leading this country down the road to Fascism because they intend to be the ONLY political party standing. They would like nothing better than to be able to make their critics disappear, just like the Chinese do or treat journalists like Putin does.
Put simply a future with the Republican Party is Soylent Green and Mad Max. The future the Democratic Party would like is Star Trek.
We are at a crossroads now and the future is going to be determined by the next decade. And I am very afraid given that there is every chance Moscow Mitch will regain control of the Senate in 2022. Once he does, he will be pushing this country further along the road to Fascism, this time likely to the point of no return. The Republican Party is making sure that no matter how many Democrats (who are in the majority in this country) vote, there still won’t be enough votes to throw them out of power. That is when the great experiment will be over and there will no longer be Democracy in the United States.
To be honest with you I hear “this party is evil because” from both sides and every time I hear it. It makes me want to stay more and more away from politics because it just seems like a cesspool of negativity that I don’t need in my life. I hope everyone here has a good day, but I think I might be done discussing because to be honest I just have other things more worrying than why whatever political party I don’t like is bad.
Totally agree. I never was interested in politics under this last election. I have recently been on Facebook, and have connected with old friends and family members. I am stunned at the number of anti-Biden posts. I refuse to engage in political or religious rantings there, so scroll on by. Your postings make me feel sane. Thank you.
Hello, Laurie!
When I see Republicans raging against Biden and “Left-wing radicals” on Facebook, I’m consistently shocked by the total absence of reality.
Their fury is based on lies.
Last week, Fox went all out on Hillary spying on Trump. And Republicans across the land were ENRAGED!
But, the story soon fell apart as it wasn’t true.
But the rage, remained.
In my post above, I slam the Republican party. Note though how everything I posted is verifiable. It’s all true.
I agree, the Republicans have no policies to help our country and it’s people. They have no policies period. They don’t even try to hide that fact. The only platform they are running on is to get Biden out and take over the House and Senate. They block everything Biden tries to do, they have no regard for our democracy or helping U.S. citizens.
When will this madness end???
Bless you Ross for pointing this out and as a yellow dog Democrat I’m commited to the Democrat Party and always have been. I know what it stands for and I understand ( very well ) what it has done. It’s a battle between good and evil.
Ross, you and you alone have convinced me to renounce being a Republican. I hereby promise that I will change parties and re-register as a Democrat and vote Democrat now forward. Your educational, impassioned and enlightening posts have humanized what was political and I can no longer support the Republican party. Thank you, Sir.
Jeannie!
You’ve made my day! My week! My month!
BIG BIG BIG hug!
Ross
Remember, every election counts. Vote in every one. It is our right and our duty, out of respect to those that came before so that we have the freedom to do so. Do not take it lightly. Every election has consequences as we have already seen. This mid-term will have more than most.
Progressive checking in here.
While I think it is important to remember not all democrats are amazing (for some reason, NY’s Governor can’t be bothered to sign in Good Cause Eviction for whatever reason), I feel like you’re right.
I live in Binghamton currently. The republican admin seems to be intent on gentrifying and ripping apart the city as much as it desires, and they let slumlords run loose like thugs in the city. The Republican mayor himself invests and profits off of the gentrification real-estate dealings and continues to do so during his term despite saying he would not to avoid a conflict of interest. The code enforcement is nearly useless and landlords purposely let their buildings fall into disrepair so they can illegally evict tenants. You know why the stupid Republicans here don’t care?
Because it’s now a college town, them and their friends get more money when they displace people and allow students to move into these apartments. Had I known this, I likely wouldn’t have moved down here myself. On top of it all, the taxes are so low that any wealth these out of town landlords would pay back into the city is minimal. I swear to god this stupid little hard-boiled city is a microcosm of the whole damn party.
