This & That
Before.
With improved temperatures, Eric was able to climb back atop the roof and finish repairing the asphalt shingles.
After. Ta-da! No more holes in the roof! I left the 2×12 in place so I can do a tiny bit of work to the wood wall shingles. Then…all done!
In August of 2021 I posted about two basement windows in the Carriage House which had been spray foamed over. Oh, the horror.
I needed to crawl under the south porch to chip away at the spray foam, in like 100-degree heat. Sooooooo not fun.
I managed to unblock the windows but the resulting debris of foam bits, mingled with leaves, remained. At last though I raked out much of this.
And…gadzooks…I got half of the mess cleared away. Will I brave cutting off the spray foam at top? I do not know, yet. It is not really visible unless bending down.

My guess is you will remove it ,not because anyone else will see it, but because you know it’s there.

Evening it out would improve the view, but it’s likely there for a reason. The underside of that floor would need some kind of insulation, I would think. Maybe deal with that huge bulge & call it good, for now?

Ask if someone could help. One in the basement, and one outside. Using a long piece of strong wire
as a string you would work back and forth to cut the bulge off while retaining the insulation value? Can you get the window out to be able to try this if you think it would work? Rick and Kim have you pegged! Good luck.
Use of a “combat” electric carving knife was helpful in trimming over-filled voids chez moi. Dunno about massive old stuff.
