Visitors!

Blog reader Leslie came by for a tour of the Cross House. Her husband, Colin, dropped her off, and then Leslie and I ran all over the house (like kids in a candy store), all the while social-distancing (like adults). The rooms are all big so the latter was easy. Colin then came back to pick up Leslie (they live in Las Vegas), but he was shy about having his picture taken.

He proved no match, however, to Leslie and me. Note also the newly restored stained-glass windows!

When we were in parlor Leslie admitted that she had not at all been sure about my decorative scheme. “I didn’t get it. But, in person, I love it! It’s just gorgeous! I also love how well done it all is!”

Obviously, Leslie is my newest best friend.

The more areas of the Cross House that you restore and adapt bring new delight to your visitors virtually and in person. You are bringing revenue to Kansas by becoming a must-see destination. Hooray!

Those windows are so stunning. One day when I get a more reliable car I am heading over to Kansas to check it out in person.
