Last weekend, Clinton (L) and Roger (R) toured the Cross House. I always love when young people are passionate about old houses. It gives me hope for the future.
I have found very few young people like me(21 in 3-4 months!) Who are passionate about old houses…but when I do find them, I almost fall in love. Most seem to like the symmetry or weird features, then they butcher it up into a weird Modern-Victorian mashup that is in-out-up-down with little logic or facet of the golden ratio which is so present in the old beauties.
I always love how animated and happy your pictures of people always are, Ross, I notice it every time, you clearly have a way about you that brings out the best in people.
What fun!! You absolutely right— for the young to be passionate & appreciative of old houses— hope for the future!

Anthony: sexual identity was and is never an issue in appreciating and restoring houses. 😉
Does that matter??
