WE ARE WET!
The carriage house has not had water since I purchased the property in 2014.
No place to wash hands. No place to pee.
Dry.
And today?
SQUEE!
SQUEE!
SQUEE!
OMG, to have water!
All the plumbing is new, a combination of PVC, CPVC, and Pex. It is all very neatly done. Which delights me. There were a few leaks, as expected, but we quickly dispatched these.
The plumbing though is only partially installed. The original faucet for the green sink proved cracked and unrepairable. Today, I ordered a new one (sigh) from Amazon. It is…OK. So, when Cody arrives next Thursday, he will have a washer hookup, a kitchen sink, and a full bath (first floor). He might have a toilet and slop sink upstairs. If not, he soon will.
The new turret bath will be done later.
Ross very happy.

Congrats. Running water is always a great thing and often taken for granted until there isn’t any.
Water. Water heater. Toilet. Sink.
Shower?
Obviously electricity so lights and power.
All set as long as the roof doesn’t leak. He can get by with a hot plate and a dorm fridge if necessary.
Just imagine how long it has been since anyone lived in the Coach House. Or the Cross House for that matter.
Any idea when the Cross House will have permanent habitation?
