Winter? What Winter?
In Kansas, they say if you do like the the current weather, wait an hour.
This has some truth to it.
One December, we has a blizzard in mid-December. Then the day after Christmas, until January 3rd, a 70-degree forecast was predicted.
Whoee!
So, the day after that Christmas, I (being a sensible person) demolished my exterior kitchen wall. In the middle of winter. The whole thing, gone! And for the next few nights I lived with blue tarp imitating an exterior wall.
The following nine days I rebuilt the wall, got the exterior siding on, and even painted. On January 4th, the temperature dropped to 12-degrees.
At the Cross House, I was desperate to get the main facade painted by the end of 2014. Well, I got it about 90% painted, then I lost the weather. One cannot paint when the temperature is below 45-degrees; 50 is better.
Poo.
But look what is coming up. In January!
Guess what I will be doing starting Thursday?

Hi – as you can likely tell, I am reading all your posts, from recent to ago…and have to say how amazed I am that you can paint an exterior during winter months….wow. How great!
