The twin single stone plinths are, once again, revealed, and as they were intended to be. They will have lattice between them, and a railing.
It’s hard to believe that by the end of the year all this should look fabulous!
Hard. To. Believe.
And when it is all done…I will reveal a surprise.

I know it may not seem wide enough for stairs but, I want the stairs to go there. 😏 After all, it is just the access steps and not the main stairs. How wide is the top step of the north stairs, anyway?

Was there a half column all the way to the right of the porch?
It looks like the block there projects out further and is different than the corbel way on the other side of the porch.
What an amazing transformation! the single bases look so elegant and the scale is perfect. Cant wait to see the columns back in place!
