So, I cut the tracks. Why, this looks sorta kinda elegant! Who would have guessed? I will likely paint the tracks. And again: I love how easy the drapes are to open/close. The wonderful small chair was a Kenny find.
Also, the drapes look kinda brown in the images. They are, in fact, an incredibly luscious gold.

Paint them? Only brown over the wood, wall color on the ends. Because I know that is what you are going to end up doing because you are Ross and Ross needs what Ross needs.

Yes it’s great this way. As others have said maybe you could paint them to match the wood and maybe even add decorative finials at the ends? Would you consider adding tassel tie backs? I am a fool for tassels… Looking good Ross!
This is looking better and better! I second the decorative finial idea, and may I raise the suggestion to replace the admittedly wonderful Kenny chair with a small table?
