A Plastering Beginning?

I have tried, on several occasions, to successfully plaster. I have failed. However, I remain undaunted, and will now repair the plaster ceiling of the new pantry in the carriage house. Lath has been nailed in place. All has been coated with Plaster Weld (the pink stuff). And so…drum roll, please…pray for my success.

Good luck! Here’s to you getting plastered regularly in 2022! 😄
Wishing you good luck! You get bonus points for tackling a project overhead. (And maybe bonus wine my next trip to Emporia.)
Ceilings must be the worse! Good luck! 🙂
I have never tried to plaster, but a friend of mine who once lived in an old house in Chicago described his experience to me. He replaced 1960s bathroom fixtures with 1920s fixtures and tile and needed to skim coat and repair the walls before painting… he said that he started with a 6′ x 8′ room, and by the time he got all four walls perfectly smooth, he had a 5′ x 7′ room 🙂 I’m sure that you will ace this the same way you’ve mastered everything else in the past.
If all else fails, hire a master plasterer and watch her/ him work?
Fingers crossed plastering has gone better this time. Can’t wait to see the results
