After months of working on the parlor, I have at last resumed painting the Great North Wall.
And the NE corner.

Everything to the right of the scaffolding was finished in 2016. But see at the tippy-top of the scaffolding? NEW COLORS!!!!!!!!
ZOUNDS!
And the NE corner has a bit more paint, too!

I agree, wait till it cools a little to paint the outside.
It is actually kinda comfortable.
I am painting in the shade, and have an industrial fan on the scaffolding.
The nice thing about the heat is that I can start painting a section of the left, and by the time I am finished with the right side, I can begin the second coat on the left! No stopping!
Okay, that makes me feel better. 🙂
I really love seeing the paint go up on the outside again.
You’ve really been good for my OCD tendencies, Ross. Left to myself, I’d want to complete entire sections before moving on to the next. Logically, I know that some sections require emergency repairs before others, but my mind wants it done my way! Anyway, I’m always left guessing what you’ll focus on next. The results are worth it. I stare at the completed bit with intense satisfaction, knowing you’ve got it RIGHT. In the process, I discover that I CAN be happy doing it piece by piece.

This is so exciting! Every time I see the telephone closet window with the black frame I am more & more in love with it! It’s amazing what a difference the black frame compared to a white one makes. I never would have thought to paint the window frames black & it has made each & every one of your beautiful windows look astoundingly gorgeous! <3

Just to be clear: the round window in the last image lights the servant’s stair.
The telephone closet round window can be seen in the first image, way to the right.
