Before. After. And WHEW!
Of addition note:
Y’all will recall how much work I did in the corner regarding the built-in gutter.
Since doing all that work we have had almost no rain. But…on Tuesday it rained and rained and rained so when I arrived at the house I ran up and onto the porch roof, STAT. Had all my work been for naught?
I hate naught.
But…no. No!
There was no water pouring over the cornice. There was no water leaking out from behind the shingles on the wall to the left (this was VERY bad). The removal of the downspout (which was causing damage to the porch roof, and to its built-in gutter) seemed to be OK.
Whew!
CAVEAT: The rain was not intense at the time. So, I will need to do An Intense inspection to feel truly victorious.

Add engineer to your skills! The entire window is gorgeous. Happy New Year!
Victory!!! Happy New Year, Ross! The window looks lovely…but I may be more excited about the gutter!
Great work!
I wish we could clone a thousand of you!
What about the abandoned pipe? Is it sealed inside?
I can see that being a bat or wasp portal if it opens into your soffits.
Yes, Blair, the pipe is sealed inside! No bats or wasps or aliens can take residence into the soffits.
Oh Ross!! So delightfully crispy to see the stained glass in place and all beautifully restored!! So glad the fix has tentatively resolved the water issues!! Squeeeee!
What a relief!!! Good job
Beauty as always Ross. Bravo!
Love the reality of before and after pictures of the windows. Well done.
How did the curved outside corner handle the stream?
