Can This House Be Saved? Four N. Main Street, Coudersport, PA
I am a sucker for an architectural damsel in distress.
And this house pushes my every button. It just intoxicates me. Had I not purchased the Cross House I might well have gone after this faded beauty.
The house was featured on the fabulous Old House Dreams, where you can learn a lot more about it. ‘Tis a sad story.
Imagine being in the top of that four-story tower, sitting in a comfortable chair, a glass of wine in hand, while a raging storm surrounds you. It would be thrilling.

Gasp!
Here is the good news! From what I understand this house has been sold, and the new owners are starting to (very slowly) dig into this project!!

And on a more interesting note…how it played into the downfall of a cable giant..(at least for us here in PA!)

I get up that way a couple time a year, I look forward to hopefully seeing some life brought back to it.
