Touring Fairlawn Mansion

Matt is a young man restoring an 1889 house, which he blogs about. It should not be a surprise that I just love the guy. I have done a previous post on him, and this is his house when he purchased it. Image by Matt.

And as a work in progress. The difference is astounding. WAY TO GO, Matt! Image by Matt.

Recently, Matt did a post about the incredible Fairlawn Mansion, built four years before the 1894 Cross House. Fairlawn is in immaculate condition, which is amazing considering that it came close to being demolished. I drool looking at all this gorgeousness. When you look at Matt’s blog post on Fairlawn, make sure to click on the images. They hugely enlarge. Image by Matt.

Fairlawn is an awesome place to visit in person. I am glad that it survived the recking ball – so many other places up here haven’t been that lucky.
