Cat Fight!
Gray and New Kitty have not bonded yet. Gray barely tolerates the intruder, forgetting that less than a year ago SHE was the intruder. Gray hisses at New Kitty a lot and the latter normally does not react. But last night, while I read in bed, I put the book down. WHAT was New Kitty up to? And it was obvious that Gray was asking the same question.
We both soon had an answer. Yikes! Fur-is-a-flying! New Kitty dived right atop Gray! I had never seen her do this before.
Then New Kitty came around for a Round II! Gray was PISSED! NOTE: Gray is quite a bit larger than New Kitty, perspective be dammed.
Evidently feeling quite satisfied, New Kitty then sauntered off, while licking her mighty chops.
This all looks fierce.
It wasn’t. The two enjoyed it.
I could tell right away that Gray was down with being assaulted because her tail never fluffed up, as it would if she was freaked. And at one point she bolted to the safety of the night table…only to casually walk back over the New Kitty and then throw herself on her side with a “helpless” look. I was impressed with her acting skills.

Gray would definitely not be rolling over baring her belly if she was feeling threatened. But there may have been a little actual attitude going from both of them.
Nevertheless, it’s good to see them getting along as it were.
Ahh they are starting to get used to each other. New Kitty may even end up boss! Good signs.
It is good to see they are relaxing enough to play with one another.
