I really do love that big window underneath the turret. Such a nice balance of large surfaces on that side now. My question is is the big window and the window to the other side the same distance away from the wall? I just noticed the window in the hidden bedroom (?) is not aligned with its dormer counterpart on the second floor, but are the big window and that one equidistant from the wall on their respective sides?
Not everything needs to be symmetrical. Plus a lot of those dormers aren’t original. Probably some of the windows too since it was originally a carriage house.
The window is IN. Now, have you stepped inside to see how that window really changes the entrance?
Can’t wait for the transom to get out of hock. You could paint that plywood black and you’d hardly notice the transome isn’t there. You could even put down a criss cross of masking tape and paint over it, remove the tape and it would almost look like the rails or mullions or whatever they are.
In the meantime. How is the weather? Is it Tyvek season while you wait for vinyl? There is so little paint left to remove, then wood to condition, prime and paint. That side is almost finished.
“I can see clearly now, the pane is in…”
Apologies to Johnny Nash
Brilliant!

Hi, JP!
I don’t understand what window this is: “the window to the other side”.
