CH: Day 14

Sunday.

Monday. I was able to install 7 layers of siding. But it felt like 14 as each layer comprises two boards. The seam between boards has to be flashed, the board ends glued, and the seam disk sanded. In short, twice the work than if each board was full width. I have long lengths of siding but will be using them above the window.

No need to ask if you are saving the siding you are taking down for reuse elsewhere. I know if something still has life in it, you put it in a safe place for use later.

Little by little. I see pieces of houses near me gobbled up slowly day by day, it’s nice to for once see the process in reverse.

    Progress!

Also: I think I caught a couple teeny typos, and I know how much you loathe them. It’s in this area: “Monday. I was able [to] install 7 layers of siding. But it felt like 14 as each layer comprises two boards. The seam between boards has to be flashed, the board ends glued, and the seam disk sanded. In short, twice the work than if each board was full width. I have long lengths of siding but will be using them above the window..[eliminate one of the double periods]

Done, Barb! But I will not delete your comment because readers should know how you keep me on the right grammar/typo path! Thanks!
