So, y’all know about the infamous green sink in the kitchen of the carriage house.

A few weeks ago, we at last, at last, at last installed it…

…but the original faucet had cracked and spewed out water.

Quickly, a new kinda sorta possibly facsimile faucet was ordered, with an assurance that it would be here a few weeks ago, in plenty of time for Cody moving in.

But, y’all know….

…how absurd my belief in scheduled delivery dates is during these perilous times.

Would the faucet arrive in a week? Two weeks? Six weeks? Never?

Who knew?

In the meantime, Cody would have had no water in his kitchen.

What do do? What to do?

Our highly curious but nonetheless satisfactory solution. This makes me smile. It’s like a Niagara Falls of faucets.

    😏 That’s hilarious!
I have to stop looking now 💚 I have massive sink-envy!

Ah, the sound of falling water! Very zen. And in the process of developing a faucet work-around, you devised a way to entertain Cody’s cats for hours. Genius!

Oh my. How ugly but necessary. Well….you can get a big spaghetti pot filled quite nicely from that…down pour!
    😂😃
Every thing is better with pasta. And real butter. And bacon. And wine, right?

    Ingenious and clever!

    As always the resourceful Ross!

    What does Cody think?

It’s a “There, I fixed it” *grin* My son and I are masters at this *giggle* One problem you should know about regarding this type of fix: They are always temporary, sometimes for years! LOL!

That green sink is just luscious – more so every time I see it. I may have to find myself one.

Man, my cat, Frankie, would love that. He’s the rare water-loving cat. The sound of running water makes him instantly materialize. A very creative solution!

My cat too, the basement in our old house leaked when it rained, there were 4 or 5 streams coming in. Our cat would sit and watch for hours. haha

I did that to the laundry sink in my garage. I picked up a bar faucet cheap when the local plumber was moving to a new location. I just put a shelf on the wall with brackets and then put the faucet on that. Turned out to be great as I like the high arch. Very convenient.

That sink just cries for a Dishmaster, but they are definitely mid century. Highly convenient but wrong era. I have a wall mount in my 50s kitchen and love it.

I’ll stick another pin in my DeJoy doll for you.

    Hey, whatever works. 🙂

Whatever works, it’s only temporary. I’m sure Cody doesn’t mind for a few weeks/months?
