Damn

To the LEFT of the triple windows on the second floor are shingles in almost ready-to-paint condition. On the RIGHT however is this friggin’ mess. I have enhanced the image to show detail. Scary detail.
On the bright side, most of the exterior is not like this. The previous owner, Bob Rodak, laboriously removed most of the paint on the house down to bare wood. Had this work not been done I would have NOT have purchased the house. The last thing I wanted or needed was an old house caked with 123-years of old paint. I have my limits! (Really. I do!)
So, the question is WHY? Why is the right side of the triple window this horror while the left side is ready to paint? Why is the right side pretty much the only area I have found caked with old paint?
Well…just sigh. I will sharpen my scrapers, cover myself with protection, plug in the headset to listen to a good book, and scrape scrape scape away.
But I will not be having a good time.
Damn.

Did you get my email about the festool vac and sander? That’s the route I would take. No suit or mask required.
Yes, I did look at both. Thank you!
The issue is that the two are like $1400! Yikes!
However, I think they will be a good investment. I just need to start saving my pennies!
Yes, they ‘re very expensive, but there is a 5% discount [yay] if you buy the tool and the vac together.
In the end, the hallelujahs will outnumber the damns.
The bigger the mess, the bigger the satisfaction after it’s done.
Sweeping an already clean floor is so boring. But if your dogs slaughter a plushie and there is stuffing all over…whoop!
