Dr. Doug Treats!

Previously, I explained how I needed wood corner guards for the parlor. I pulled off a guard from the Round Bedroom to use as a template. We are used to such guards being fancier, but not in the Cross House. There are also wood guards on the main floor, exactly matching this.

And now, the amazing Dr. Doug has created four more! I’m absurdly excited about this. The new wood will be painted in a two-tone finish to mimic the original faux bois finish to the other trim in the parlor.

Dr. Doug also made me new bits for the porch columns. Some I need now. Some will be stored, to be used down the road when some original bits can no longer be repaired.

I think you are definitely a caretaker of the Cross House. When you have someone making replacement parts, a few spares makes sense.

    I echo Rick!
You are an amazing caretaker of this magnificent treasure that is the Cross 🏡😘
    Yay Ross!

PS I still have the problem in populating name, email & website since recent upgrades or changes to blog a few months ago. It seems it was reconfigured somehow & I am discombobulated 😕
