The Cross House
Right after installing my brilliance, Justin and I stopped by Groh & Sons for a small thing we needed. Groh relined the gutters at the Cross House and did all the roofing, as part of the Heritage Trust Grant.
While there we spoke with John who showed us some equipment and materials we had not seen before.
Justin and I were agog as we stood before a massive, computer-controlled crimper. I began drooling.
Later, after returning to Cross House, my mind wandered off, thinking about that wondrous mighty machine, and the brown sheet metal John also showed us.
My mind kept repeating:
And then I knew I had no choice. None.
Although just an hour before I felt quite brilliant, now I understood that my abilities were nothing compared to what John could do.
Up on our respective ladders, trim reinstalled, Justin and I caressed the glorious lids.
We hoped nobody was watching this odd behavior. And, I know that some of you out there would have done the same.
