I Keep Saying…

Yesterday, while speaking on the campaign trail, Florida’s Republican governor, Ron DeSantis, said this about federal employees: “We are going to start slitting throats on day one.”

I kid you not.

I keep saying:

Democrats HELP

Republicans HARM

And now a Republican presidential candidate is advocating for murder.

I kid you not.

Incredibly unconscionable to say that. Like Donald, Ronald has supporters who would literally do that.

They have no decency! And they’re the “Christian” group! They’re really scary. They keep complaining about big government but advocating tougher voting rules, ban books, govern a woman’s body, regulate how history is taught, etc. he especially (behind the orange guy) is frightening. We’d become another florida (no caps on purpose). And reps can’t see it. I’ll get off my podium and turn it over to you. You are more eloquent. 🥰

How extremely irresponsible for him to say such a thing. Does he not realize that the cult will take such comments literally? That’s what gave us Jan 6.

    I am speechless!

The Republican party is truly frightening. Have you read or heard about the Heritage Foundation Project 2025? Any Republican candidate must follow this policy plan. Reversing all climate change policies, getting rid of the Dept. of Education, giving the President more power, get rid of the DOJ. These are just some of the sickening ideas they are planning. God help us all.

I have read that, Cindy. Horrifying.

      And the whole plan confirms:

      Republicans HARM

Nothing in the plans will help you or me. Nothing.

        You got that right!

It goes beyond harm. They want to make this country into a one party state with the Republican Party as that party in power for perpetuity. Basically they are moving this country towards becoming a Fascist state, one step at a time. Notice they are moving to take over the courts. That’s an indication. There are others. In Ohio they are trying to make laws to deny the people a right to vote because of abortion. They’re trying to deny a ballot proposition on it because they know they will lose. Now they are trying to raise the threshold for passage from a 51% majority to a 60+% supermajority. Corrupting the balance of power our country was created on is yet another.

I find it a bit amusing they keep accusing the left of socialism or communism but they are careful to avoid the word Fascism, lest people realize which party is becoming that and noticing how that party is moving this country toward that political state.

(And no, just because some governments call themselves Democratic or Socialist doesn’t mean they are. Germany in the 30s and North Korea come immediately to mind.)

Reading the news every morning I feel as if I woke up in Opposite Land. Nothing makes sense, elected officials talk of killing fellow citizens. I’m so confused as to what happened to our country.

    • Ross on August 3, 2023 at 11:06 pm

      Hi, Biki.

It’s vital to understand that the elected official talking about slitting the throats of American people is a REPUBLICAN.

And it’s Republicans which stormed the Capitol of Michigan with the intent of murdering the Democratic governor.

And it’s Republicans which stormed the US Capitol with the intent of overthrowing democracy, and also causing death and injury.

While it’s profoundly upsetting what is happening to our country, I would not call it confusing. The explanation, while horrific, is nonetheless simple:

      Democrats HELP

      Republicans HARM

So, when you cast your next vote, Biki, do you want to help your fellow citizens? Or harm them?

Let’s here it for Ohio! They know a fascist takeover when they see one. I just hope it leads to a blue wave voting out of office every single Republican that pushed this agenda to deny people their right to vote.

    • Ross on August 8, 2023 at 11:52 pm

      Agreed, Mary.

As Ohio went tonight, so did Kansas last year.

      Again:

      Democrats HELP

      Republicans HARM
