Inching Along

Today. I painted most of the water-table trim just above the limestone foundation. And I added a black pinstripe just above same trim. MUCH better!
Yesterday, the newly painted scroll panels under the windows looked a bit adrift.
Today though, the green trim at the bottom, and the subtle black pinstripe, added visual gravitas.
And I do love gravitas.

The pinstripe adds a subtle note & the green trim separating limestone & dining room window stupendous!! Your painting is so expert & perfect. Technically flawless & every post a delight & is so fun to see!
That is really coming along nicely! It’s been fun seeing your discovery process choosing rhe color scheme. I’m sure you’re not quite done with it yet 😉
I like gravitas too. Especially on a nice Montreal bagel. No capers though. They suck.
Indeed – it does appear more “anchored” with the black pinstripe, and the beveled green water table.
Wow. It looks fabulous! Love what you’re doing.
I’ve said all along that this is my favorite side of the house. I’m looking forward to seeing that arched basement window restored; who but Mr. Squires would have thought to put it there?
I am LIVING to restore the arched window!
