Inching Along

Last week.

Today, I was able to get the shingles to each side of the triple north window painted, as well as the window trim. Tomorrow I will to do a final coat over the inevitable touch-ups.

And, also tomorrow, I will be able to lower the scaffolding. Fewer things bring me greater pleasure.

The first-floor section? I have been dying to paint this for over three years.

But soon! Soon!!!!!!!!

With all the debate on schemes for the tower…dare I ask what your intentions are for the tin band below the dining room windows? Gold olive ground with stamped details picked out in dark green like the tower is currently, or solid green like the brooch?

      Methinks the latter.

Woot! I am in Emporia this week. I’ll bring the champagne and we can toast the end of the horrid red paint!

The great north wall will soon be vanquished!

I do wish I could help with the painting. Or anything really. Petting cats, getting coffee, yanno.. the important things 😉

JUST lovely – sorry to note (but you’ve help train my eye) – what are the plans for the deck / door entry? is it restorable or have to be rebuilt?
