It’s probably too late now, but it would have been neat to take a picture from a set location each time you finished painting for the day, and then put all those pictures together in chronological order as a “flip book”. It would have been like watching the years of neglect literally melt away from the house leaving only the beautiful structure that had been hidden for decades. I really wish that there were more people like you in this world who can see through the layers of neglect and then bring the old building back to glory. I have said many times that if Europeans had the same views on old buildings that the majority of Americans have, the Eiffel Tower would have been replaced by a shopping mall years ago, and Queen Elizabeth II would be living in a penthouse duplex next door to Charles and Camilla.
You are making great progress!!
When I think of how sad this side of the house used to look, I’m amazed by all the progress you’ve made. It’s wonderful!
And to think…there’s NO ONE alive who remembers this all looking so “crisp!”
Woo hoo, look at that, past the half way point!
Looking good, Mr.Kotter! I am just as thrilled to see those shingles above the newly painted window trim, too! And painted!!
This is definitely my favourite elevation. So many things to look at!

Wondrous progress! How glorious!!!
I echo the sentiments of those who are just as thrilled as I am with each incremental, beautiful
crisp painting & repair!!!
Restoration of this side is a MONUMENTAL achievement!!
I loved New Years post about 2014 to the present & it is just fabulously amazing!!
