Luscious Bo
This morning I died and went to heaven.
And it is all Bo’s fault.
He sent me a link to his wallpaper website, which I have not looked at in some time.
Normally, I add a URL link to Bo’s main website when I mention him. But Bo has a separate website for his vintage wallpaper company.
Yep, you read that right. His vintage wallpaper company.
VINTAGE wallpaper!!!!!!!!
It is not hard finding vintage wallpaper. An eBay search will reveal thousands of results. But it is very hard to find extraordinary vintage wallpaper. And this is what Bo specializes in.
Bo’s vintage wallpaper website, Bolling & Company, offers, in part, fragments of antique wallpaper framed as art. Pretty fabulous idea, right?
All the following images are from Bolling & Company.
Very occasionally Bo will come across enough vintage paper to do a whole room. Mostly though, Bo is only able to acquire enough to do a feature wall or small room. Or only enough to frame as art.
There is a LOT more to look at here. Enjoy!

You are kind Ross.
Site just launched Tuesday, so still getting filled out and polished. Feel free to send feedback.
Bo, what would it take to reproduce these papers? I know Bradbury and probably some other companies could do it. It seems to me that the seaweed paper looks like it could have been designed for the Cross House. What think ye?
This is not an easy question to answer as there are many variables involved in both quality and execution. Because reproductions (digital, screen print) aren’t made using the same techniques and materials as originally (surface printing, block printing), there are a number of compromise points that – when balanced against cost – make for tough choices.
For instance, no metallics or built-up color density with digital, and no high color counts, color subtlety or artistic imperfections with screen.
Plus, at least for me, not having the rest of the coordinated suite of papers makes reproducing a lone frieze a bit of a dead end for authentic interiors.
All that said, the kelp paper could be digitally reproduced without the metallic elements for something in the $20-30/sf range I would think.
Beautiful wallpaper is just SO much more than pretty colors and patterns, but maybe if one hasn’t seen a lot of the really good old stuff they wouldn’t know what they were missing… 😉
These papers are just gorgeous! Love them!!!
Thanks for the link Ross, I just spent about 45 minutes looking at all the gorgeous papers. Bo has a great website with lots of goodies.
Bo’s website is remarkable; the kelp wallpaper is beyond stunning and beyond wonderful for Cross House to tie in with the locks and hinges as you said Ross! This was such a fun post Ross! Thanks so much!!
The 1930’s wallpaper is stunning! As is the kelp wallpaper.
Wow!! Stunning items, more than a few just went on my wishlist. Can’t wait till he gets the archive section up, I’ll be checking back often for sure.
I am so loving watching you dress your Cinderella (with an old soul) in her beautiful ball gown and sassy new undergarments! Can’t wait to see her all dressed up.
THANKYOU!
That beautiful yellow remnant with the blue bird? Well, it’s mine now. I went to Bo’s site and couldn’t afford the pre-framed but I can afford a remnant to mat and frame locally. And that yellow remnant? Well, it’s 1920s, just like my house. It is so going to be hanging in my bedroom within the month. So thank you so much for the link to Bo’s vintage wallpaper. I only wish I could afford to buy enough for an entire wall, if he even had that much. I just love it.
Thank you for the kind words! So glad you have found something you love…
