More Evidence of Magic

A short while ago I posted about the new entry hall gas/electric pendant. The fixture was missing a number of parts when I purchased it, but after several years of diligence, I had the fixture back together….
Some readers were doubtful of one ever turning up.
This though ignores the well-known magic of the Cross House.

You would think the chances of finding that exact globe would be slim and none. Hard to believe you actually found it.
Cody is very good at finding treasures.
Ross: have you bought any lottery tickets since you bought the Cross House? Seems like you might have the luck you need. Especially if you’ll put the money towards restoration of the Cross House.
Question about the placement of the complete foyer chandelier: is it my 67 year old eyes or is it off center? Perhaps it is centered in the foyer but looks off because of its location and the beautiful front doors.
While it is not installed centered in-line with the entry doors, it is quite nearly centered within the room itself.
The ONLY thing centered in the foyer is the light!
This is obvious in person.
How did they light the gas lamp. it looks about 6.5 to 7 feet high but the shade would be in the way. Do you lift the shade to light?
If it’s like my gas stove, there is a small pilot always on and you just open the gas to provide a larger flame. But I’m just guessing. I’m sure Ross knows exactly how they used to work.
Bwa ha ha! Didn’t I say one could come to the Cross House? Only took six weeks for the stars to align and the universe to provide.
Fantastic, looks amazing.
“altered me”
Oh dear, I hope being “altered” isn’t like being fixed! 😜
Congrats, Ross, on the new (old) lamp!
